Why A Kitchen?
Like
a full-blown tornado, family meal-time can turn even the cleanest
kitchens into a disaster area in minutes. It’s the place where – after
planning the meals, writing the shopping list, shopping, unpacking,
preparing and cooking (with loving resentment) – mum has a chance to
witness the family inhale her culinary efforts in three seconds flat,
or flatly refuse it.
Kitchens are where the action is –
laughter, tears, stress, mess, squashed banana. No matter how clean,
dirty, basic or impressive your own kitchen, it’s probably the most
hectic room in the house. Whether you cook with love or resentment, or
prefer to bake away over take-away, there’s a good chance the kitchen
is the hive of family life – and you’re it’s queen.
